Nothing that makes you credible can leave. Your face can’t be generated. What you know can’t be looked up, because the good things you know look obvious to you, which is exactly why you stopped saying them. And what you refuse — this is the important one — can’t be decided by somebody else on your behalf.
That’s why two hours stay. One session where you’re asked the questions that pull out what you no longer say, and the approvals where you look at what came out and say yes or no. The rest — writing, editing, scheduling, publishing, measuring — doesn’t need you in order to happen properly.
I built this system for myself, to get the honey out of me and do in two hours a month what was taking me four hours a day. It isn’t a theory about productivity. It’s my number, measured on me — and if yours is different, tell me and we’ll do the sum again, together.
